Mutya Buena, (born 21 May 1985 in London) is an English singer-songwriter and former member of the pop band Sugababes.
Mutya Buena began her music career as one third of the multi-platinum selling girl band the Sugababes, during which time they released such hits as Freak Like Me, Round Round and Push The Button. Buena later left the band to begin a solo career and was replaced by Amelle Berrabah.
The album is set to include collaborations that Mutya has worked on with some of the biggest names in music including dance duo Groove Armada, popsinger George Michael, and Brit Award winner Amy Winehouse, whose duet with Mutya samples The Ronettes' "Be My Baby." A Cosmopolitan interview later revealed that the first single will be "Real Girl" (which samples the Lenny Kravitz song "It Ain't Over 'Til it's Over"), which will was digitally released on the 14 May, and physically on 28 May 2007. The single is produced by Full Phatt, a London-based production company. The Second single has recently been confirmed as Song 4 Mutya (Out Of Control) and will coincide with the release from Groove Armada.
