Nyr's got a short name, but a boatload of talent -- and a wonderfully soulful voice that hearkens back to the smooth soul of the '70s!
Nyr hails from France, but sings in English -- in a way that shows a strong appreciation for some of the best male vocalists of a few generations ago -- supported by laidback jazzy backings that further help enforce the classic feel of the set. There's a tightness here that's never too tight -- and although the sound is professional, it's never cheesy at all -- just done in a really careful balance that comes off extremely well.
